Our Sauvignon Blanc vines are planted on the highest vineyards on the Estate, on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain range, facing False Bay. The early morning breezes cool the vines, which contributes to the superb natural acidity in the grapes. Decomposed granite soils contribute to the
minerality on the palate.

ORIGIN Helderberg, Stellenbosch
ASPECT Predominantly South-West facing slopes
SOIL Decomposed granite soils – Tukulu
ALTITUDE 400 – 470 m above sea level
PROXIMITY TO THE OCEAN 9 km from False Bay

A cool, wet winter provided the vines with excellent winter rest. From April to August, we had 678 mm of rain — the second highest rainfall since 2008. Cool, steady spring weather led to even budding though thorough canopy management as well as attention to humidity levels was essential. The 2025
ripening season was cool and dry, ideal for slow and even ripening. Careful monitoring of soil moisture levels and supplementary irrigation was required for optimal ripening. 2025 is one of the most balanced, quality-focused vintages in recent years.

OPTIMUM SERVING TEMPERATURE 12 – 14 °C

TASTING NOTES

COLOUR Clear
NOSE A vibrant yet composed aromatic profile, opening with fresh green melon and juicy tropical guava, followed by layered notes of passionfruit and blackcurrant. Bright citrus tones of grapefruit and blood orange bring lift and definition, while an underlying flinty, stone-like minerality anchors the fruit and adds a sense of cool precision.
PALATE The palate is immediately shaped by a gentle saline entry, leading into a tight, chalk-etched structure. Green melon and blackcurrant notes carry through with clarity, joined by a subtle suggestion of dragon fruit that adds an exotic nuance. Balanced, finely tuned acidity tapers to a zesty, moreish finish.
