The 2025 Vloedvlak is a 100% Colombar wine from a old vine vineyards planted in 1987 on the banks of the mighty Olifants River. The Vineyard is located about 25 kilometres from the Atlantic Ocean.

Grapes were picked early in the morning to preserve freshness, then cooled down before being pressed the next morning. Whole bunch pressing was done without the addition of any enzymes, then left overnight to settle in a stainless steel tank, before being racked to a stainless steel tank for fermentation to start.

This wine was a 100% fermented in stainless steel and left to age for 5 months on the gross lees before being bottled. Bottled with the addition of a little sulphur, unfined and unfiltered.

These Vineyards were planted in 1987 on Sandy soils about 25 kilometres from the Atlantic ocean.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Floral, lime, yellow fruits , minerals, Kelp, Umami. On the mouth there is an intense sensation of
saltiness with hints of lime and peach coming through.

ALC: 12.76% TA: 6.2 RS: 1.9 PH: 3.28
