The Newton Johnson family are specialists in the growing and making of the Burgundian grape varieties of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The Felicité range offers access to fine examples of these wines at prices that won’t break the bank. Our preference leans towards a style that cherishes Chardonnay’s purity of flavour and the invigorating quality that these wines can offer. We steer clear of any oak flavouring looking to highlight pretty, floral aromas and uncomplicated fresh fruit flavours. This wine is blended in our winery and sourced from the Stettyn Family Winery in the foothills of the Klein Drakenstein mountains near Villiersdorp, our partners in the Felicité range.

TASTING NOTES

Steely aromas of fresh lime and the soft, fruity nuance of peach blossoms. Sumptuous texture in the mouth, integrating bracing acidity in to a refreshing finish.

LOCATION & CLIMATE

The Botha and Griessel families farm on the eastern foothills of the Klein Drakenstein mountains, 15km north of the town of Villiersdorp, the southernmost border of the Worcester district. This area is characterised by cold winters for effective do rmancy of the vines, and moderate summers for relatively slower ripening in the interior of the Western Cape . The farms possess a wide variety of slopes and soil types.
