+The Creation Sumac Grenache vineyard is named for the exotic African spice which is characterised by a certain brightness and liveliness also evident in the wine. The now fully mature, virus-free Grenache vines offered Cellarmaster JC Martin the opportunity of selecting exceptionally high quality pockets of grapes for the 2017 vintage. The wine is deep crimson in colour with a glimmer of purple capturing the imagination. Distinctive aromas of cranberry and black cherry are enhanced by a liberal pinch of spice and the subtle perfume of dark rose petal. Voluptuous dark berry fruits hug the palate, followed by a sprinkling of sumac on the lingering aftertaste. Roast duck breast is a favourite with this wine.
