The motivation behind his wine has always been to show the unique expression of schist from the swartland. this 2019 vintage is a selection from 2 vineyards around the Kasteelberg and Riebeeksrivier areas. Extremely low yields gives this wine texture even when harvesting early and with the naturally high TA in 2019 this is by far the most balanced vintage of this wine to date. Typical yellow fruit associated with Chenin on schist backed up with lots for mineral notes and a dry almost pithy finish.

Fermented and aged in small, neutral barrels, total production was just 1,300 bottles.
